Oakland First Baptist Church is an exciting place full of encouraging people. We love the opportunity to make new friends and help them become part of the OFBC family.

Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating even for the most outgoing person. Therefore, we do everything we can to help you be comfortable and get the most from your visit.

What Should I Expect?

You should expect to be warmly welcomed by greeters and people who are glad you've come. Oakland First is a Southern Baptist Church that believes in dynamic, practical, Biblical preaching and exciting worship that touches the hearts of people from all ages and stages of life.

How Should I Dress?

At OFBC, you will see people of all ages wearing "Sunday best to jeans and flip flops. While we do believe that an important part of worship is giving our best to God, we also believe the biblical truth that "man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

How Do I Get There?

We are conveniently located on Highway 64 in Oakland next to Dollar General. Though, our street address is 8695 Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068. We are just on the eastern side of the heart of Oakland.

Where Do I Park?

Guest parking is provided and clearly marked in the center of our parking lot, directly in front of the main doors. There are also plenty of handicap-accessible spaces.

Where Do I Go First?

Our greeters will be available to assist you at our main entrance (located through the double doors under the covered drive). We encourage you to visit our Welcome Center where you will receive information concerning our ministries and how we can minister to you.

Then What?

You can attend an age-appropriate Life Connection Group Bible study class at 9:00 a.m., and/or the main worship service beginning at 10:15. Nursery is available throughout the morning.

We look forward to seeing you at Oakland First Baptist Church soon!
